DARE TO DREAM
To launch Season 3 of House of the Dragon on we staged a world first in London, flying an 8 metre lifelike dragon over the Tower of London and Thames.
Six months in the making, the exact replica of Syrax featured 23 dexterous moving parts and weighed just 12 kilograms, enabling her to majestically glide and flap her wings and tail over the historic Tower of London, where she appeared to breathe fire on the turrets below thanks to a spectacular FX set piece we installed.
The stunt went truly viral, gaining over 12 national newspaper hits, six television features and coverage in over 20 countries, seen by hundreds of millions of people and heralded as the PR stunt of the year.
Weeks later, Syrax flew again in equally spectacular fashion, bringing together the worlds of drama and sport and promoting the broad offering of HBO Max.
Ahead of the opening ceremony of the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow, broadcast in its entirety on HBO Max, also the home of House of the Dragon, a statement PR stunt saw us fly the 8 metre dragon above the OVO Hydro Arena, the destination of the Opening Ceremony, set on the River Clyde.
The stunt delivered unprecedented press coverage, with ten print hits including two front pages, 25 broadcast hits including a segment on BBC Breakfast, and over 300 million social views, including 50 million on one post alone.
